HealthRICH: Health Risks, Information, and Choices
The HealthRICH project has laid the foundation for a partnership that improves the understanding of environmental health science by young teens and their families and encourages them to make informed personal choices to reduce environmental health risks. The project developed print materials and web resources for young teen and family programming, held training programs, developed supporting materials, and held informal education events for young teens and their families.
The HealthRICH materials are unique and valuable resources that offer interdisciplinary and multi-modal approaches to EHS topics. The materials are thoughtfully designed to appeal strongly to the young teen audience with detective-style scenarios, magazine style readings, and popular imagery.
